FG vs SG Boots — What is the Weight Difference?
How much more do SG boots weigh than FG boots of the same model?
When it comes to football or rugby boots, there are a few soleplate types, but the most commonly found are FG (for use on firm ground) and SG (for use on soft ground). The difference being that FG boots use plastic moulded studs on the soleplate, while SG boots feature screw-in metal studs for better penetration into the ground. But that would add a bit of weight, right?
