Women Crush Wednesday: Roxy Burger

At the age of just 30, Roxy Burger boasts a television and film career spanning 18 years. After numerous international and local TV commercials and Disney film roles, Roxy landed her spot on MNETs flagship children’s channel, KTV, which saw her voice expertise and natural presenting ability flourish.

She’s come a long way since those KTV days, now gracing our screens on the popular TV show, Top Billing and Strictly Come Dancing, and we have no doubt she will only grow from strength to strength!

We caught up with the popular TV star and showcase exactly why she’s our Woman Crush Wednesday!

Quirky, funny, stubborn, determined and (trying to be) mindful.

Relationship status?
Married.

What’s your idea of the perfect date? 
Dinner at a great restaurant.

Who is your celebrity crush and why?
Channing Tate-YUM.

What do you look for in a man?
He’s got to make me laugh. The buck stops there.

When you were little you wanted to be?
An astronaut. I even wrote to NASA.

Your biggest relationship deal breaker (or turn off) is?
If you’re arrogant. There’s a fine line between arrogance and confidence.

What do you like to do for fun or to relax?
Play golf! I love being out on the course.

Best surprise gift you ever received from your partner or a loved one?
Probably my golf clubs! Totally unexpected but the best gift ever.

If you could instantly download a special skills or super powers like an app what would they be? 
I would love to be able to play an instrument. Or be invisible. Or both.

Right now, what are you completely obsessed with?
We’re building a new house so that’s pretty consuming at the moment! Otherwise my blog.

What would people be surprised to know about you?
I have incredibly poor vision in my right eye because of an accident I had when I was 3. I’ll spare you the details, it was pretty gruesome.

What are you most looking forward to this year?
Moving into our new house! And travelling! Headed to New York next in Feb.

What can’t you live without? 
Red Bull. No lie.

Who is your favourite celeb #couplegoals duo?
Michelle and Barack Obama!

Favourite childhood memory? Summer holidays in Plett. So many happy memories there.
Favourite go to hangout? The Living Room in Maboneng.
Favourite local sportsman? Lions Rugby Player, Robbie Coetzee
Are you a Wine, champagne or a cocktail kinda girl? Wine and Bubbles all day everyday! Our local MCCs are amazing.
