Playstation’s ‘State of Play’ show took place last night, where Sony took the opportunity to showcase some of the upcoming games hitting the PS5 in the coming months and years. The show featured some interesting reveals and some closer looks at a few already-announced titles. Here’s the best of the bunch:

God of War: Laufey

There were rumblings of a new God of War game in the works, and Santa Monica Studios finally unveiled God of War: Laufey, a spin-off/sequel of sorts starring Kratos’ wife, Fey. The story picks up after her death in 2018’s God of War, where she has to navigate Everywhen, the afterlife for all gods from multiple mythologies. The footage Sony showcased was long, but well worth a watch:

Marvel’s Wolverine

Marvel’s next superhero game, following the exploits of X-Men hero Wolverine, got a full gameplay breakdown, showcasing the game in its brutal, violent nature.

The Lost Wild

While there is a Jurassic Park survival game on the way, another dinosaur-themed horror title is on the way in the form of The Lost Wild. Players assume the role of Saskia, who wakes up on a mysterious island overrun by prehistoric creatures, requiring you to use tools and smart thinking to evade some pretty terrifying threats.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis

We finally got a release date for the long-awaited Tomb Raider reboot/remake, but players will have to wait until February 2027 to play it. However, there was some awesome new gameplay to enjoy:

Until Dawn 2

Supermassive Games’ narrative, choice-driven slasher Until Dawn was the breakout hit for the innovative studio, and the sequel has finally been announced. Until Dawn 2 sees players take control of a group of ghost hunters on a tropical island, who end up dealing with more than they bargained for. Like other games from the studio, players will need to make quick decisions that alter the story and fate of the cast.

ILL

ILL is one of those games that has been floating around for a while, but now, with the backing of a bigger publisher, ILL is set for a release in 2027. If you haven’t seen it as of yet, it’s a realistic first-person action horror game that takes you into a dark fort overtaken by a mysterious entity. A grim story, unpredictable monsters, a visceral dismemberment system, and realistic physics come together to deliver some serious terror. We can’t wait.

Rayman Legends Retold

We haven’t seen a Rayman game in quite some time, but Rayman Legends Retold is a remake that jazzes up the beloved platformer with stunning 3D visuals, a brand‑new world, Kung Foot, and legendary co‑op fun.
