Nokia has revealed the latest instalment into its 5 series smartphone line, the Nokia 5.4.
The Nokia 5.4 features a 6.39-inch HD+ display with a punch hole for the front-facing camera, and is made from a tough polycarbonate body, which makes it strong enough to withstand the weight of a 10-year-old child (around 30kgs). It’s a good-looking device, and while it doesn’t feature a full end-to-end display, there’s more than enough space to manage your apps and operations on its sizable screen.
Featuring a durable rear cover, the eye-catching design is also a nod to its Nordic heritage. Available in Polar Night and Dusk colours.
Under the hood, the Nokia 5.4 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, which is the same processer that features in the Xiaomi Redmi 9. It includes 4GBs of RAM, and 64GBs of internal storage memory. On the battery side of things, it houses a sizable 4000mAh battery, which should give you some more use-time than most phones on the market.
The Nokia 4.3 includes a 48 megapixel camera that is said to stamp out shutter lag completely along with a 16MP front-facing shooter. The main rear camera is made up of four lenses, a primary f/1.8 (wide) angle lens, a 5MP 13mm ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth-sensing lens.
When shooting video, the Nokia 5.4 features the brand’s ‘Cinema’ mode. This function captures 24fps (the film industry standard) and allows users to shoot content in 21:9 cinematic format. Once finished, the professional colour grading options can add a Hollywood-like feel to your videos.

The Nokia 5.4 is now available in South Africa in the Polar Night colour option in the 4/64GB configuration, priced at R3,799. The Nokia 5.4 also comes with a free phone cover & screen protector valued at R350.
