Netflix has been delivering some star-studded affairs in recent months, and one of the highest-profile upcoming releases, The Devil All the Time, which stars Spider-Man‘s Tom Holland and Batman-to-be Robert Pattinson, has received its first trailer.
Set in Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighbouring backwoods, The Devil All the Time follows a handful of sinister characters — an unholy preacher (Pattinson), a twisted couple (Jason Clarke and Riley Keough), and a crooked sheriff (Sebastian Stan of Captain America: The Winter Soldier) — who converge around young Arvin Russell (Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family.
Spanning the time between World War II and the Vietnam war, director Antonio Campos’ movie renders a seductive and horrific landscape that pits the just against the corrupted.
Co-starring Bill Skarsgård (IT), Mia Wasikowska, Harry Melling, Haley Bennett, and Pokey LaFarge, this suspenseful, finely-woven tale is adapted from Donald Ray Pollock’s award-winning novel.
