Jackie announced that he plans to slow down a bit after his latest movie which he wrote, produced, directed, and for which he choreographed fight scenes, Chinese Zodiac.

Chan stars as the Indiana Jones of fortune hunters who travels the globe searching for lost astrological antiques. The 58-year-old actor says it will be one of the most important movies of his career.

“I hope this movie, 20 years later, people still remember it. For me, for the audience, for my future, for my history — it’s very important,” Chan said, according to The Associated Press.

According to MovieFone, Chan was recently misinterpreted by reporters who wrote that the actor was retiring from action movies altogether after Zodiac. However, after reading of his own retirement plans in the press, Chan wrote on Facebook that he simply plans to do “less of the life risking stunts on my movies.” He vowed that he “will continue to do international action movies” and “keep improving my English :-).”
