Valentine’s Day in Cape Town: Silent Outdoor Movie Night Taking Place at The President Hotel

Love is in the air at The President, and this Valentine’s Day, the hotel is hosting a silent outdoor movie night and picnic on Wednesday, 14 February 2024. Guests can enjoy a locally inspired gourmet picnic under a starlit sky, sandwiched between the majestic Lion’s Head and Atlantic Ocean. 

To make this Valentine’s Day truly special, the movie is Leap Year to coincide with the once-in-a-quadrennium occurrence we have with 2024 as a leap year. With 29 days to play with, anything goes! For couples, why not make it a double date and invite your friends? For those single and slaying, celebrate with a bit of self-love or get your bestie to enjoy a fun-filled evening under the stars. Who knows, there may even be a leap-year proposal on the cards.

Doors open at 7pm so guests can settle and enjoy their complimentary welcome drink, and the movie starts at 8pm. As it’s a silent cinema, everyone receives a headset to enjoy the movie from the comfort of the outdoor pool loungers. The entire experience is R390 per person and includes the movie ticket, headphone rental, lounger, popcorn, picnic box and welcome drink.
