Wallaby and Waratahs winger Drew Mitchell has signed a deal with French Top 14 club Toulon.
The deal is said to be a two-year contract, and the 29-year old will join up with the French powerhouse at the end of the year.
Mitchell alluded to the departure ahead of the official announcement.
”First and foremost, playing for Australia means absolutely everything to me,” he said.
”And playing here at the Waratahs … I have been to a few different clubs … Of the three I have played (at), I certainly feel most at home here.
“It’s a challenge thing, what I want out of footy and life.”
Mitchell will join up with former Wallaby star Matt Giteau, along with another international winger, Bryan Habana, who will also join the club following the conclusion of the 2013 Super Rugby competition.
