When Rugby 18 was announced, we were cautious to say the least. And who could blame us? Rugby World Cup 2015, Big Ben Interactive’s previous entry into the series, was anything but a good rugby game. That said, Rugby 18 is on the way, along with a new development studio at the helm, and we’re feeling more and more optimistic about this release.
Following the first gameplay trailer and a detailed look at the commentary in the game, Big Ben Interactive and Eko Software have released a new video detailing the Career Mode and My Squad mode in Rugby 18, and they’re looking to be quite extensive features to deepen what the game has to offer.
In Career Mode, you take control of a new team in a bottom division, and have to work your way up the ranks, along with recruiting new players who can help your team progress.
My Squad will feature all the officially licensed players from the game’s league licenses (Aviva Premiership, Pro D12, and Top 14), and task players with building their dream-team, which then can be taken online to challenge other players from around the world.
Rugby 18 will launch in October for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, and it’s one of our most anticipated games still coming in 2017.
