7 Hottest Game Trailers of the Week You Need to Watch

With Gamescom gaming expo rolling in, publishers and studios are dropping a ton of new game trailers to indulge in, giving us a look at some of the most anticipated releases heading our way, and we’ve rounded up the best of the bunch:

Gears of War: E-Day

We got a brand-new trailer exploring some of the story elements for the upcoming Gears of War prequel, E-Day, showcasing Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago on the day the Locust first attacked Sera.

Alien Deathstorm

Coming from Rebellion Entertainment (Sniper Elite series), Alien Deathstorm is a high-octane sci-fi shooter that sees you explore a facility on an alien world ravaged by a mega-storm.

Turok: Origins

Turok Origins is a prequel to the original Turok game, throwing you into the role of a new dinosaur and alien hunter as you’re tasked with stopping a force set to take over the galaxy.

Metro 2039

Metro 2039 picks up after the events of Metro Exodus, and shifts focus to a new voiced protagonist named The Stranger. Set in the year 2039, the sequel sees you dealing with a fanatical Spartan regime inside the Moscow metro tunnels.

Spine

Spine is a single-player action game about close-quarters gunfights with aesthetics of Gun Fu movies. Playing as a rebellious street artist named Redline, you’re thrown into a cyberpunk world as you battle against an AI regime. Thankfully, Redline was able to steal a Spine unit, providing enhanced combat abilities, which will give her a fighting chance against the tyrannical government.

Blackwood

Blackwood is the closest thing we’re getting to a John Wick game before the official John Wick game does arrive, at least. This third-person shooter with grounded melee combat is full of brutal takedowns, responsive gunplay, and a deep weapon customisation element. Additionally, to hide your assassin antics, you’ll have a double life to manage, which includes working in a DVD store.

No Law

No Law is a frenetic, open-world cyberpunk shooter, allowing you to dispense justice in a world where chaos reigns. Playing as an ex-military man, Grey Harker, you can go stealthy, guns-blazing, or capitalise on some high-tech weaponry and gadgets to get the job done. It looks gorgeous too, and is a world we can’t wait to see more of.
