Some tight encounters, brilliant individual performances, and dramatic moments made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great highlights, we decided to rank out top 7; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:

Depay’s vision

Memphis Depay scored an absolute dream of a goal last night for Lyon against Toulouse FC.

Baker gets his century

One of the fastest men in rugby, Perry Baker, picked up his 100th try at the Vancouver leg of the World Sevens Series.

Habana ties it up

Springbok winger Bryan Habana rounded off a fantastic team try by Toulon against Bayonne in the French Top 14.

Specman’s speed

South Africa’s Rosko Specman showed why he is one of the most dangerous men in Sevens with a breathtaking length-of-the-field try against Canada.

Kikau cracking tackle

Penrith’s next powerhouse prop Viliame Kikau made his debut for the NRL rugby league side, and the 21-year-old made his presence felt with a massive hit on West Tigers’ James Tedesco.

Sportsmanship at its best

Not a piece of skill, but a great moment of sportsmanship. Play was paused at the Vancouver Sevens as Fiji’s Vatemo Ravouvou looked after Samoa’s Lafaele Tuliu Vaa after a head-knock until the medics arrived.

England’s dominance

England put the nail in the coffin of the other teams’ Six Nations hopes with a decisive win over Scotland; with the best try coming from outside centre Jonathan Joseph.
