Samoa and Tonga faced-off in an exciting and fast-running encounter in the Pacific Nations Cup this past weekend, with Samoa coming out 43-17 winners.
There were some incredible tries scored, but one of the weirdest one came in the 76th minute when a Tongan player knocked the ball on into a Samoan player’s chest, which saw the ball bounce right behind the Tongan defensive line.
With everyone thinking it was a double knock-on, the players stopped but the ref suddenly indicated to the players that there wasn’t a second knock-on (with the ball hitting the chest), and suddenly a frantic moment kicked in with all players realising the ball was live.
