Star-studded French club Toulon has been underwhelming in recent matches. While they were able to overcome Bath in a tightly contested encounter last week, the two-time French champions struggled throughout the match, and did so against a spirited Wasps side this past weekend too.
Quade Cooper, the once-mercurial Wallaby flyhalf, has also been underachieving, but the elusive No. 10 had a far better game over the weekend, creating some great space for the outside backs to thrive in.
One of the standout team moments came from an intercept that Springbok winger Bryan Habana picked off, before the ball was distributed out to All Black centre Ma’a Nonu. Nonu was able to put flying speedster Josua Tuisova on the outside before the Fijian passed back to Cooper.
