When can you expect to see Transformers 6?

While the primary Transformers series hasn’t seen a release since 2017’s The Last Knight, Paramount has confirmed that the robot-fighting franchise will get a new entry, which will release on 24 June 2022.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the studio has also confirmed that Joby Harold and James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, The Amazing Spider-Man) are writing separate scripts, which will likely be combined into one movie, or make for the chance of back-to-back productions.

It’s not guaranteed that the film will be Transformers 6, which would continue the franchise’s main storyline and pick up on the bombshell dropped at the end of The Last Knight, but with so much time and effort dedicated to the series so far, it’s unlikely that Paramount will abandon the current narrative threads. It also hasn’t been said whether Mark Wahlberg, who starred in Age of Extinction and The Last Knight, will return.

It has also been confirmed that another fully CGI film in the Transformers universe is in the works too, which will be a prequel set on Cybertron covering the origins of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons.
