The second, and admittedly more revealing, trailer for Marvel Studios’ Eternals, has been released, offering a better look at the heroes joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The film follows an ancient group of being known as The Eternals, who help protect humanity from the Deviants. They’ve been around for a long time, so the question of why they didn’t help the Avengers fight Thanos comes up in the trailer too.
Eternals stars Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgames, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena, and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman
Eternals is directed by Academy Award–winner Chloé Zhao hits cinemas on 6 November 2021.
