While just about every iconic video game character has made their jump to the big-screen, there’s one colourful mascot who hasn’t made the leap: Sonic the Hedgehog.
Well, Sega’s anthropomorphic speedster is making his live-action debut this November, with Ben Schwartz (The Other Guys, The Walk) voicing Sonic, James Marsden (X-Men, Anchorman 2) co-starring, and Jim Carrey taking on the role of the villainous Dr. Robotnik.
While the appearance of Sonic may be a little questionable, there’s no doubt that the movie has a fun tone, interesting visuals, and having Carrey in the mix makes for an alluring adventure.
Sonic the Hedgehog arrives in cinemas on 15 November 2019. Check out the trailer above.
