As far as superhero movies go, Deadpool is a little bit of an anomaly in that the titular character is known for being pretty much the exact opposite of the traits that we generally associate with heroes.
The first movie was a massive hit, exhibiting excellently-shot action sequences and making use of hilarious dialogue that only Deadpool can actually get away with. Almost immediately after the success of the first, the second was fast-tracked into production, and we’ve got the first teaser trailer right here:
The teaser starts as a spoof of Bob Ross’ painting show, but transitions into some jump-cut footage of the movie, and while brief, the quick shots hint that the sequel is hitting all the right beats just like its predecessor. The team is back; but if you wait until the end, you’ll get a quick glance (don’t blink) at the main antagonist for the sequel: Cable (played by Josh Brolin), a technopathic mutant from the future that’s a little bit of a nemesis for Deadpool.
For those keen to get their fix of foul-mouthed mercenary action, Deadpool 2 will be releasing in May 2018 – but luckily there are plenty of other superhero movies to look forward to in the interim!
