While still a year away from release, anticipation for the next instalment into the massive Marvel Cinematic Universe is building. Captain America: Civil War will be more than just a sequel for Steve Rogers’ crusade against evil, but a star-studded battle featuring key heroes from the world, including Iron Man, War Machine, Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Vision, and Falcon, at the very least.

The film is set to be the springboard for the Civil War storyline from the comics. As such, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers will be on opposite sides of the debate when it comes to the Superhero Registration Act. They will not be friends.  The Civil War story arc explores the registration act which forces anyone with superhuman abilities to reveal their identities to the U.S. government and agree to act as a police force for the authorities. This tears a divide between Iron Man and Captain America, forcing the Avengers to pick sides.

Production has now wrapped on Civil War, and as such, directors Joe and Anthony Russo now heading to the edit suite, with around eight months to lock their final cut down, but we’re getting our first glimpses of the film via Hawkeye star, Jeremy Renner.

A new piece of promotional art, which begins to ask the question ‘Whose side are you on?’, was Tweeted our by Renner, giving us a sneak-peek at the new costumes in the film, and more importantly, whose side the superheroes take in the Iron Man / Captain America face-off.
