PS4 Price Cut Revealed For SA Gamers
Aspiring PS4 adopters get the extra push to take the leap with a new price-drop.
Those of you who have been holding off on buying a PS4 will be glad (and those who bought one yesterday will be sad) to know that the PlayStation 4 500GB model is now available for R5,499.99 in South Africa – down from its recommended retail price of R5,999.99.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced the price cut which goes into effect today, 21 October.
“Also, watch out for an amazing range of Ultimate Player Edition Bundles including the 1TB PS4 and some of the biggest games of the year, offering even greater value,” said the company.
“In addition to the new attractive price point, SCE will accelerate the expansion of the PS4 system to new audiences by further enhancing the PS4 ecosystem, which includes strengthening the PS4 software line-up.”
It’s not a bad time to pick up a PS4 either, with some massive games hitting the console in the coming months, such as Star Wars: Battlefront, Ratchet & Clank, and No Man’s Sky.
Check out our hands-on preview of Star Wars Battlefront, as well as some of the big upcoming PS4 exclusives.

Sony needs to learn from from the Shaving industry. You cant have an expensive console and expensive games. The shaving industry has been hit hard because of the beard revolution and electric shavers that are a once off payment. The gaming industry needs to smarted up.
