Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate Revealed, Watch 9 Minutes Of Gameplay
Ubisoft makes Victorian London its home for the newest instalment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
It’s been a rather tough past year for Ubisoft and the Assassin’s Creed franchise. After the poorly-received release Assassin’s Creed Unity last year, fans of the series have become a little skeptical with the hit-or-miss nature of AC games, but Ubisoft is dedicated to changing those notions with their next entry, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.
Syndicate, which was formerly known as Assassin’s Creed Victory up until the recent unveiling, is set during the Industrial Revolution in Victorian London. This time, players can take control of two Assassins – Jacob and Evie Frye.
Of course, they’re part of the order of Assassin’s and will have to help pull down the Templar reign over the underclass of London, but they’re going to need the help of the locals and turn them to their cause.
Players will need to unite the street gangs of London under a single banner. Many of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s activities and side quests will revolve around winning over the various gangs in London’s diverse districts, building influence to help them gain even footing in the war.
In terms of new gameplay additions, the combat system has been overhauled to provide a more visceral and brutal hand-to-hand combat, much like we’ve seen in the Batman Arkham series. Also, our assassins will have some new tricks up their sleeves, such as the grappling hook, new close-combat weapons, revolvers, and vehicles are their disposal.
It’s all looking pretty great from the first impression, so check out the trailer below and 9 minute gameplay demonstration below that…

Some really awesome new mechanics they added to the game. So happy one can use the environment to your advantage in taking out people.
I am still so far behind in my AC games. Seems like I will have to get a move on, if I want to play this one.

Agreed, also feel like I got left behind a little! But I think this will be the one that ropes me back in. I love the new brutal hand-to-hand fighting.

I’m not a fan of these games. They aren’t difficult enough, the clues are so simple etc. not like the silent hills or resident evils of the world.
