This week, gamers won’t be getting too many physical releases, but the digital games hitting PSN, Xbox Live, and PC outlets deserve your attention. Prepare for a warrior elephant, some stabbing and drama, and a classic PS3 adventure making a reappearance on the PS4.

Tembo the Badass Elephant

Release date: 21 July (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

There’s been a serious lack of African animals starring in video games, but Tembo the Badass Elephant is here to bring some colour, fun and chaos to gamers this week. This cute-looking 2D action platformer throws you into the hooves of Tembo, who as the title explains, is a badass, and he’s taking no prisoners as he tackles an invading military. Armed with heavy weaponry, his trunk, and a Rambo-inspired bandana, Tembo must run through Shell City to wipe out the Phantom Army. Tembo has many different abilities and moves to make it through the game’s levels, as well as the aid of a bird named Picolo. The game features 18 different levels with side objectives to complete in order to finish levels and tackle bosses.

Game of Thrones – Episode 5: A Nest of Vipers

21 July (PS4, PS3, PC, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS, Android )

Game of Thrones fans finally get their next episode from Telltale Games after waiting in dire anticipation. The penultimate chapter, A Nest of Vipers, magnifies the importance of the Forresters’ actions to a high degree to ensure the survival of their house. Affairs at home in Ironrath are on shaky ground thanks to Rodrik’s alliance with House Glenmore. Not only are the Whitehills incensed by Rodrik’s defiance, but it has drawn the attention of a more vicious foe in Ramsay Snow. If things for House Forrester at Ironrath weren’t enough, Mira is embroiled in a game of politics in King’s Landing after Tommen’s coronation.

I think it is really time for me to start Game of Thrones. But then again, I can just wait for Episode 6 to be released and then play the whole season in one go.

I hope Life is strange gets added to this list of releases. but have a feeling it will only be next week.
