ANOTHER New Car Brand Launches in South Africa
Here’s what you need to know about Chinese brand, Jetour.
We’ve seen quite a few new car brands pop up in the good ole Republic as of late, and another SUV manufacturer will be hitting the showrooms in September 2024.
Jetour is an SUV vehicle brand that is owned by Chery, but it has been emphasised that it is a “brother” band of Chery, and not a subsidiary controlled by the company, like that of Jaecoo and Omoda.
So far, two vehicles in the Jetour range have been confirmed for South Africa: the Dashing and the X70 Plus. The Dashing is a more modern, streamlined SUV, with the X70 Plus being more of a larger-sized family vehicle.
The brand also has other models in their range, with one of the popular ones being the T2, a smaller, compact SUV to take on the likes of Suzuki’s Jimny or the SWB Defender.
