Xbox recently held its Xbox Games Showcase, giving a look at some of the biggest games coming to the Microsoft platform, along with some hardware reveals and new game announcements. In case you missed anything, here are the best announcements from the show:
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
With Microsoft now owning Activision, it was inevitable we’d get some Call of Duty news during the Showcase. Black Ops 7 was revealed to be the next instalment in the series, and will dive deeper into the near-future, mind-bending action this iteration of the franchise is known for.
Gears of War: Reloaded
A brand new trailer for the remastered and upgraded version of the original Gears of War was released, showing the new visuals and improvements in all their bloody brutality.
Invincible Vs.
A game based on the Invincible comic book (and subsequent TV show adaptation) has been in the works for a while now. It was fully revealed through a trailer showing that its a 3v3 fighting game, much like that of Dragon Ball FighterZ or Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Clockwork Revolution
If you’ve been itching for some Bioshock vibes, Clockwork Revolution should be on your radar. It’s a new FPS that mixes steampunk aesthetics, slick gunplay, and some time-manipulation elements.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
The rat-infested action-horror games in the Plague Tale series are getting a prequel in the form of Resonance.
Cronos: The New Dawn
Bloober Team, who worked on the Silent Hill 2 Remake and The Medium, are developing Cronos, a new third-person survival horror set in a time-bending reality. It looks awesome.
Xbox Handheld: The Asus ROG Xbox Ally
So, this one was a bit of a misdirection. While everyone thought Xbox was working on their own handheld system, this announcement revealed that Microsoft is working with Asus to create an Xbox edition of the Asus ROG Ally.
