WATCH: A Moment to Appreciate Marcus Smith’s Ridiculous Try Against Chile
Smith delivers a moment of magic for England.
The second round of Rugby World Cup action seemed to focus heavily on the match between the Springboks and Ireland, as well as Australia’s poor performance against Wales, leading to many overlooking England’s game against Chile.
Of course, England was always going to win, but Harlequins flyhalf Marcus Smith made his first start at fullback (in order to allow Owen Farrell to play flyhalf), and the playmaker managed to score one of the best tries of the weekend.
Accelerating through a gap, Smith put the ball onto his boot for a fantastic little kick that beat the Chilean fullback, before regathering and scoring in the corner.
