Wits delivers a performance for the ages against rivals UJ.
In one of the most spectacular comebacks seen in the sport, the University of Witwatersrand managed to comeback from a 30-0 deficit to defeat neighbouring rivals University of Johannesburg in Round 2 of the 2023 Varsity Cup.
After conceding four tries over 48 minutes of the game, not to mention a yellow card, it looked like Wits was in for a torrid evening. However, the men in blue managed to rally themselves and score 5 tries in just over 30 minutes, including an 82nd-minute match-winner.
