Mortal Kombat 2: Gory First Trailer for Movie Sequel Released
Watch the Fatality-worthy first trailer for the Mortal Kombat movie sequel.
2021’s Mortal Kombat film reboot was a fresh, fun, and gory take on the beloved video game series, bringing a gritty and more visceral adaptation of the classic fighting franchise to the big-screen. The film got lost in the whole COVID-era, but the sequel is on its way and looking to up the ante even further with a bigger cast of characters, more Fatalities, and a bigger budget; and we’ve got the first trailer for Mortal Kombat 2.
One of the exciting announcements leading up to the filming was that Karl Urban (Dredd, The Boys) will be playing fan-favourite character Johnny Cage, along with Shao Kahn making his appearance in the movie, and it seems like Urban’s Cage will be the centrepiece for this sequel.
Additionally, the stills also show Jax (Mehcad Brooks) who returns from the first film, along with Kitana, played by Adeline Rudolph.
Mortal Kombat II hits cinemas on 22 October 2025.
