First Look: ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ Movie
Prepare for more Planet of the Apes in 2024.
Following Rupert Wyatt and Matt Reeves’ Planet of the Apes trilogy that began with 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes and concluded with 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes, 20th Century Studios officially announced a new entry into the rebooted Planet of the Apes franchise, which is set for release in 2024.
Titled Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the new movie will continue on from the first three entries, but will take place “many years after” the events of War for the Planet of the Apes.
Not too much is known about the sequel, but the announcement confirmed that Owen Teague, Freya Allen, and Peter Macon will star, with Maze Runner director Wes Ball behind the camera.
