Grand Theft Auto 6 Has Been Given a New Release Date
Here’s when you’ll finally get to play GTA 6.
In some news that’ll likely disappoint quite a few gamers, Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed and will only release on 26 May 2026.
While that is essentially a full year away, the game was expected to drop within the 2025 calender year, although Rockstar elaborated that the studio needs more time to reach their ambitions for the game.
On a post on the Rockstar Games’ social media channels, the studio explained that the team require extra time to “deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve.”
Undoubtedly the biggest game on the horizon, GTA 6 is set to be a landmark moment for gamers. The next big release in the open-world crime saga heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet. Expect a Hollywood-level story, an insane amount of detail in the game world, and some slick combat, driving, and a variety of other gameplay mechanics.
