Here’s the biggest gaming specials in SA this weekend…
The long work week has finally come to an end, and that means we get some quality time with our PCs and consoles this weekend. We’ve already had a look at some great games that went on special last week, and now we’ve also rounded up the biggest and best console and gaming deals running over the next few days.
So, in the spirit of saving you, our loyal reader, some money and highlighting some awesome gaming deals, here are the best of the best specials taking place this weekend:
Free controller with any PS4 console purchase (various retailers)
Playstation South Africa has announced a new special this weekend, which sees any Playstation 4 console purchase being bundled with an additional DualShock 4 free of charge. There are a few retailers participating in the special, including BT Games, Animeworx, and Dion Wired, amongst others.
Doom specials (Takealot) – various prices
Takealot has cut the price on id Software’s Doom reboot on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 this weekend.

Xbox One and games bundle (Makro) – R4,499

Batman: Arkham Knight – Game of the Year Edition (CNA) – R499.90
CNA has the Game of the Year edition of Batman: Arkham Knight, including all the previously released DLC, on special for R499.90. Check out the special here.
Witcher 3 and Mirror’s Edge specials (Loot)
Loot has some games marked-down this weekend, including the critically-acclaimed Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Xbox One, and Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst on PS4.
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate (Makro) – R299
Makro has the London-set Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate on PS4 on special for R299 this weekend. Check out the special here.
PS4 bundle special (Makro) – R5,999
Makro is running the “Buy a PS4 and get another free DualShock 4” special, but their bundle also includes a copy of PES 2015.

Dion Wired has some specials on PS4 games this weekend, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Mortal Kombat X.

Game is running a promotion on refurbished Xbox One consoles, pricing them at R3,990. The refurbished consoles include a full 12 month warranty.
