Ghost of Yōtei
Release date: 2 October 2025 (PS5)
Ghost of Tsushima is still easily one of the best games around, and the sequel arrives this October to deliver some more samurai action to gamers. Set in 1603, you play as a new samurai-assassin named Atsu, who sets out on a journey in the lands surrounding Mount Yōtei, an area filled with sprawling grasslands, snowy tundras, and unexpected dangers.
Yooka-Replaylee
Release date: 2 October 2025 (PC | Switch 2 | PS5 | Xbox Series X/S)
One of the overlooked 3D platformers of recent years, Yooka-Laylee, is getting a remaster in the form of Yooka-Replaylee. The game features cleaner visuals, new moves, more story, exciting challenges, hidden secrets, and more than double the collectables to uncover.
Battlefield 6
Release date: 10 October 2025 (PS5 | Xbox Series X/S | PC)
For some chaos and destruction, Battlefield 6 arrives this October and brings a whole new experience to players. The game sees the return of a dedicated single-player campaign, following a private military group known as Pax Armata, who create all-out war in order to topple NATO and its allies on home soil. Of course, multiplayer will play a big role with some truly epic maps and weapons to unleash.
Little Nightmares III
Release date: 10 October 2025 (PC | Switch 2 | PS5 | Xbox Series X/S | PS4 | Xbox One)
The third entry in the beloved but haunting Little Nightmares franchise is en route. The new game shifts the focus to two new characters, Low and Alone, two best friends in search of a way out of the Nowhere. In 2-player online cooperation or solo with an AI partner, work players need to work together to solve puzzles and survive in this nightmarish world.
Painkiller
Release date: 21 October 2025 (PC | PS5 | Xbox Series X/S)
OG shooter fans will remember the original Painkiller from the 2000s. The series is back with a reboot that throws you into tricky scenarios where you have to eliminate hordes of demons and other creatures using a variety of punchy weapons. It’s fast, brutal, and fans of the new Doom series will want to check this out.
Ninja Gaiden 4
Release date: 21 October 2025 (PC | Xbox Series X/S)
It’s been a while, but the definitive ninja hack-and-slash franchise returns with Ninja Gaiden 4. It’s looking slick, violent, and set to be a challenge, giving longtime fans another action-packed adventure with Ryu Hayabusa as he attempts to take down an ancient curse bringing Tokyo to its knees.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
Release date: 21 October 2025 (PC | Switch 2 | PS5 | Xbox Series X/S)
This has been a long time coming, but it’s finally set for release in October.Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 lets you hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realised by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.
