Does a Japanese robot stand any chance against the world’s best footballer?
Argentine and Barcelona star Lionel Messi is arguably the best footballer on the planet, and one of his best attributes is his precision shooting.
So, to see if Messi really is the king of power and accuracy, he was put to the test by a robot developed by Japanese engineers. The robot is said to be the “world’s best robotic soccer goalie” and, by all accounts, it looks as if they’ve succeeded.
The goalie has a built-in motion-sensing device that tracks the location of oncoming objects – in this case, a ball.
But can Messi defeat it?
