For Stuttgart’s keeper Ron-Robert Zieler and Borna Sosa, it was a moment to forget.
Stuttgart edged 10-man Werder Bremen 2-1 for its first win of the season on Saturday, but in doing so, also scored one of the most embarrassing own-goals in history.
Stuttgart had a throw-in, in their own half. Sosa decided to throw the ball to his keeper. However, he wasn’t ready at all, busy adjusting his shin pads – then the inevitable happened.
