Well, believe it or not, February is here and with it comes some pretty big game releases following a relatively quiet January.

These are the six big games hitting consoles and PCs this month:

Evolve

(10 February – PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Turtle Rock’s experience with Left 4 Dead has evolved. Instead of four players against an AI director, a fifth person takes control of a giant monster in a battle to the death.

Evolve is looking to be one of the most interesting games this year, flipping the traditional multiplayer structure on its head. By just watching some of the gameplay demonstrations, it’s easy to see that Evolve is going to be packed full of longevity and unexpected moments, no matter how much you play.

The Order: 1886

(20 February – PS4)

Ready at Dawn’s first PlayStation 4 game twists the Arthurian legend and melds it with Victorian London. Originally one of 2014′s brightest PS4 stars, The Order: 1886 will now shine when it releases this month.

The gun play is fast and frantic, and you’ll have to deal with taking out human enemies as well as a werewolf faction that is plaguing the city and humanity. Expect gorgeous graphics, frights, and a lot of action.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse

(24 February – PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC)

Dragon Ball Z returns this month thanks to a new game which puts a heavy emphasis on character creation and changing of timelines.

Players can create characters from multiple races, with the ones available being Saiyans, Namekians, Earthlings, Majins and Frieza’s currently unnamed race. XenoVerse will also be the first Dragon Ball game released on some eighth generation consoles as well as PC.

Techland is continuing its zombie hack-and-slash fighting from Dead Island with publisher WB. The title introduces parkour-style traversal and traps to the mix. It’s Mirror’s Edge meets Dead Rising.

Dying Light released digitally already and has been receiving some great praise from international publications for its freedom, AI and visuals.

Total War: Attila

(17 February – PC)

Strategy fans will be watering at the mouth for something juicy to tuck into this month, and Creative Assembly’s Total War franchise will definitely do the trick.

The game is set in 395 AD, at the beginning of the Dark Ages. While the title character will be able to become the leader of the Huns, he won’t yet be in power at the start of the campaign.

The game features 56 factions, each with their own unit roster and agenda. Ten start as hordes without any capital or region, and 46 start with a region and capital, and it’ll be your job to make quick work of them.

(Ep 1: 17 February; Ep 2: 24 February -PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC)

A horror classic also makes its return this month, albeit in a little bit of a different format than usual.

Designed as a series of terrifying episodes, Resident Evil Revelations 2 unfolds across four adventures drawn taut with dramatic cliff-hangers and gripping horror gameplay.

The game will be set between the events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6. Claire Redfield will be the main protagonist and Barry Burton’s daughter Moira will play a supporting role
