Danish painter and writer Lars Andersen has been on a quest to rediscover the ancient secrets of archery in recent years, and he’s become quite a hit on YouTube, but the talented researcher may have pulled off his best trick yet.

Andersen has managed to successfully split an incoming arrow by firing directly into it (and saving his head from being skewered in the meantime).

If that wasn’t enough, he also achieved the feat of shooting three arrows in 0.6 seconds… while in mid-air.

Talk about overachieving…

    Amazing article. Strange to think in the modern world an bow and arrow could be so effective.

    This is probably one of the most interesting things I’ve see in a long time. The fact that he did a huge body of research to disprove what people take as what we thought was common practice is so awesome. Also that he put so much time into a forgotten art is amazing. Very cool.
