Despite Real Madrid’s somewhat indifferent form in La Liga, they managed a hard-fought 3-2 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League which puts them second in their group behind Tottenham.

Extra intrigue will be added to Monday’s Champions League round of 16 draw as there are a lot of big teams that have finished in second place in their groups which will get drawn against elite teams that topped their own groups. Madrid could draw any of Paris St Germain, Manchester City, Manchester United, or Liverpool.
