A few years ago the True Crime games were a hot commodity. Large open-world action titles that saw players take control of an undercover cop and engage in some seriously fun gunplay, crazy car-chases and intense hand-to-hand combat.
E3 2010 saw the announcement of True Crime: Hong Kong for the current console generation, but unfortunately it faded into the shadows and never saw it’s Q4 2010 release.
Fast forward to 2012 and True Crime: Hong Kong has re-emerged with a new paint job and title. Now called Sleeping Dogs, this Square Enix title is looking to put the punch back into the action genre and reinvigorate the franchise. Featuring a new setting, new hero and some unbelievable action sequences, Sleeping Dogs could just be one of the sleeper hits of 2012. Check out the new story trailer to get a glimpse of the action.
