Blizzard announced this morning that one of the most anticipated games of all time finally has a release date.
That’s right, the l0ng-in-development dungeon crawler, Diablo III, will drop May 15.
Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment:
“After many years of hard work by our development team and months of beta testing by hundreds of thousands of dedicated players around the world, we’re now in the homestretch. We look forward to putting the final polish on Diablo III over the next two months and delivering the ultimate action-RPG experience to gamers worldwide starting on May 15.”
If you absolutely, positively need to be playing the instant the servers go live, you can pre-purchase the game right now on Battle.net.
The May 15 launch comes nearly 12 years after Diablo II was released, back in June of 2000.
