Whether you think the idea of Prison Break making a return is completely ridiculous or not, it’s happening; and Fox has released the first trailer for the upcoming revival, giving us a look at what’s to come from the new season.
The nine-episode continuation picks up after Michael’s apparent death, with Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) having moved on with her life, raising her and Michael’s child with her new husband (to be played by Royal Pains‘ Mark Feuerstein).
But when clues surface suggesting that Michael (Wentworth Miller) may be alive, Sara teams with his brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) to engineer the series’ “biggest escape ever,” as three of Fox River State Penitentiary’s most notorious escapees, T-Bag (Robert Knepper), C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar) and Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), are pulled back into the action.
In addition to Michael and Lincoln’s long-awaited reunion, the trailer above features the brothers attempting what might be their riskiest, most high-stakes escape yet. Prison Break vet Paul Adelstein will also be back as Secret Service agent-turned-Congressman Paul Kellerman, and he’ll be joined by series newbies Inbar Lavi (The Last Ship), Augustus Prew (The Borgias) and Rick Yune (Marco Polo).
