Some tight encounters, brilliant individual performances, and dramatic moments made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great highlights, we decided to rank out top 5; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:
3 tries in 3 minutes
The dominant All Blacks managed to score three incredible tries within the space of three minutes during their 36-17 win over Argentina in Buenos Aires.
There were some great goals this weekend, but undoubtedly the best went to Jaja, who scored an rocketing freekick for Lokeren against KV Kortrijk.
Clermont Auvergne winger Noa Nakaitaci scored an outstanding try on to help Clermont to a 29-19 victory over Castres in the French Top 14 competition.
Wallaby props deliver
After 10+ phases Scott Sio crashed over under the sticks after his prop partner Sekope Kepu laid on a lovely little ball a flyhalf would be proud of.
The Golden Point moment
The Red Devils looked down and out against Hull KR as they trailed 18-10 with two minutes left in their Super League match. But Niall Evalds’ second try and Greg Johnson’s score with the last play of normal time levelled the scores. O’Brien’s missed conversion forced extra-time but he responded with a drop-goal from near halfway to win it. It was a dramatic end to an enthralling game.
