Bryn Gatland’s championship-winning drop goal
A Bryn Gatland dropped goal has propelled North Harbour into the Mitre 10 Cup premiership. The first five-eighth slotted a composed kick with less than one minute on the clock to beat Otago 17-14 in the second-tier championship final in Dunedin on Friday night.

In the dying seconds of the French Top 14 clash between La Rochelle and Montpillier, Montpellier was awarded a penalty, with Frans Steyn taking a potential match-winning shot from 55m out. It fell short, but unfortunately for La Rochelle, they threw the ball over the dead ball line to end the game, which gifted Montpellier a second chance to win the game…
