Some tight encounters, brilliant individual performances, and dramatic moments made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great highlights, we decided to rank out top 7; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:
Habana’s slicing run
While Toulon weren’t able to shine at the Brisbane 10s last weekend, the star-studded French outfit turned on the heat against Lyon, and the side’s big names delivered a clinical try rounded off by Bryan Habana.
Pedro’s classy finish
Pedro netted Chelsea’s first goal with a powerful header in the 2-0 victory over Wolves in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Clermont’s clinical cross-kick
Clermont made the most of their attacking opportunities against Bayonne, landing a pinpoint cross kick to centre Damian Penaud to score in the corner.

Clermont strikes again
Clermont feature twice in our Sports Moments feature this week, with another brilliant try constructed from an accurate set-piece move that puts Aurélien Rougerie over the tryline.
In the final round of the 2017 Genesis Open, Phil Mickelson holes his second shot from the right rough from 45 feet out for eagle on the drivable par-4 10th hole.
Sopoaga’s brilliant kick
The Highlanders and Waratahs engaged in a pre-season warm-up match ahead of Super Rugby, and the 2015 champions showcased their early form with a brilliant try courtesy of Lima Sopoaga’s deadly cross-field kicking.
