While Puma has been making a clear distinction between their EvoSpeed and EvoTouch boot ranges (for the quick and control-minded players, respectively), the German sports brand veterans have now introduced the Puma 1 – hybrid of the two ranges that will replace the EvoSpeed and EvoTouch with one, all purpose boot.
The engineered evoKnit sock ensures a more snug fit, while the ultra lightweight Pebax outsole reduces drag, which will appeal to speedier players. The upper features a new super soft leather for a greater, more controlled feel on the ball.
The boot is already being showcased on professional pitches around the world, with Mamelodi Sundowns attackers Themba Zwane and Percy Tau also donning the boots for the new season..
Puma One boots will be available in Puma Stores and selected retailers nationwide from today, 29 June 2017 for R3,499.
Additionally, if you buy a pair of Puma One 17.1 boots, you’ll receive a Fusion bag, shinguards and ball worth R1,250. Buy a pair of 17.3 boots and get a training backpack and shinguards worth R600 or buy the 17.4 boot and get an elite training soccer ball worth R400 (more details below). A list of all stockist can be viewed here.
We will be posting a full review of the Puma One boots soon. Keep an eye out for that.
