Over the weekend, Australian rugby league heavyweight, the North Queensland Cowboys, took on England’s Leeds Rhinos in the World Club Challenge, and let’s just say there were some handbags thrown… if those handbags were full of bricks.
Cowboys took the win, but enforcer prop James Tamou will certainly struggle to remember much of the victory after he was floored by former Broncos prop and Leeds hardman Mitch Garbutt.
The incident occured in the 71st minute and was retaliation for a jab on Keith Galloway after Tamou was playing the ball. Garbutt clearly took exception and decided to get involved.
Result: immediate red card.
