Hisense recently introduced its newest Infinity H6 flagship smartphone to the scene, , which is an affordable, impressive device, but is it a worthwhile competitor in the already-saturated market?

So what does it have under the hood? Well, the Infinity H6 is actually jam-packed with some notable features and engine power for phones in it’s price range. It features a 5-inch 720p screen, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage space, runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and is power by a 2,000mAh battery. It also runs on Android 4.4 “KitKat” operating system. As for pricing, the phone features a suggested retail price of R3,499 – which is extremely reasonable given the specs of the phone.Hisense H6Regarding the phone’s shooters, the H6 houses a 8MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing selfie-taker. In terms of the actual design quality and feel of the device, there’s no denying it takes a lot of inspiration from Apple’s iPhone 6 styling, however, the plastic finish and materials used make the H6 feel very light and robust in your hands, giving one the idea that it won’t explode into a million pieces if dropped. The size felt ‘right’ and it definitely ticks the boxes in terms of durability of the pushable-buttons.

The phone also supports Dual-sims, so you can use two different network providers on your phone, which is a great feature to have if you’re using a single device for work and play, or if you’re trying to get the most out of SA networks.

The Hisense Infinity H6 is one of the most pleasantly surprising devices we’ve used in a while and definitely peaks our interest into what the company is doing. A very suitable device to compete against the big-guns of the mobile world, at less than half the price.
