The highly-anticipated Dawn of Justice movie will see Batman and Superman finally facing off for the first time in a big-screen live-action film, but why exactly are the iconic heroes going head-to-head?
To answer that question (kind of), Warner Bros has released a new official synopsis for the Zack Snyder-directed film. The synopsis reads thus:
“Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”
It doesn’t tell us much more that wasn’t in the trailer for the film really, but thought you might like to see it anyway.
There were also some great character posters, picked up by Heroic Hollywood, which show the two heroes in defaced mock-up posters, which call out Superman for his destruction of Metropolis in Man of Steel, and asking Batman to be the savior of the people. Things are getting heated already…
Thirdly, Warner Bros has released some more hi-res imagery of the Batmobile from the movie, which is on show at Warner Bros. licensing expo in the US. There’s a closer look at Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman costume too, as well as the outfits of Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman.
