While superhero movies have dominated 2016’s airwaves, we haven’t heard too much about the third and final Wolverine movie, which, in addition to being star Hugh Jackman’s swansong from the franchise, is currently being wrapped up in post-production. Director James Mangold took to Twitter to shed some light on the highly-anticipated X-Men spin-off sequel.
Firstly, The Wolverine 3 (as it was originally referred to as) is now simply known as Logan, making reference to Wolverine’s original adopted name. This was revealed with a shot of the screenplay, as well as the first poster, which you can check out below:
With only 6 months from release (slated for a March 2017 release) it’s relieving to finally hear some news about the highly-secretive film.
Hugh Jackman, chatting to ET Online, also said that “we’ve finished shooting. I just saw Jim Mangold [the film’s director] today. He’s editing away and finishing that. There’s going to be some stuff coming out in the next week or so. That’s all I’ll say. I’m not good. I’m the kind of person who tells everybody everything. Basically it’s going to be different. Very different in tone and hopefully to anything we’ve done”.
Logan is one of the biggest movies heading our way in 2017, and we can’t wait to hear and see more of the project.
