Spidey sequel gets Transformers writers
Reboot already getting sequel treatment.
While the first film hasn’t even released yet, there’s already a sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man in the works. And now the script for the second chapter in Spidey’s rebooted saga is getting a rewrite from Star Trek and Transformers scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
Deadline reports that the duo will be reworking the original draft by James Vanderbilt, scripter of the first film. While that picture doesn’t hit until July 3, Sony Pictures is obviously quite bullish on the movie and its franchise prospects. Production is tentatively scheduled for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for the first quarter of 2013.
