Two things people love to hate are zombies and Nazis, so why not combine both for a film villain? Well, that’s what Cloverfield and Star Wars director J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot production company have done with Overlord, a new film which mashes World War II action and an undead threat.
Abrams slots into the producer chair for this one, though, with Australian director Julius Avery taking over the directing helm.
The film stars Iain De Caestecker, Wyatt Russell, and Pilou Asbæk, with the story following a group of allies who are shot out of their airplane and parachute to safety during WWII. They stumble upon a creepy house, wherein it becomes immediately apparent that gruesome scientific experiments were conducted to create the ultimate soldier.
Overlord will hit cinemas in November 2018. Check out the trailer above.
