Mr. Iron-Man himself, Robert Downey Jr has said that a fourth instalment in the Marvel franchise is happening, which is a great piece of information considering that Downey Jr’s involvement in the series has under question.
Speaking on the Ellen DeGeneres show, the Avengers star said that more movies in the Marvel universe are in the works, and Iron Man 4 is among those plans.
“I know there’s going to be a bunch more Marvel movies”, Downey Jr said, “and they have big ideas of how to do it best and we’re in the middle of negotiation…”. When then pushed if that meant Iron Man 4 was happening, he said “okay, yes!”
Downey Jr also revealed that “sooner than later the Marvel roster will be made public and all questions will be answered.”
RDJ will next appear as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Avengers sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron, scheduled for release in May 2015.
