Following on from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ben Affleck will be reprising his role as the Dark Knight in the Justice League movie as well as a standalone Batman movie, which Affleck himself is also directing.
Not one for his social media teases, Ben Affleck suddenly uploaded a short clip to Twitter, showing the DC villain Deathstroke walking forward and staring into the camera in dramatic fashion. You can see it for yourself below.

Many are assuming that the video is related to the Justice League movie since that is currently being filmed, but it might actually make sense for this Deathstroke tease to be for the Batman solo film. Not only would Deathstroke warrant less attention than the brute force of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and The Flash, but since Affleck is directing the Batman solo film, he likely has much more leeway for what he can “leak” from the set without upsetting either DC or Justice League director Zack Snyder – though it’s entirely possible that either of those entities authorised the tweet to build hype.
Outside of the comic-book world, Deathstroke, a skilled and deadly mercenary in the DC universe, has appeared in the TV show Arrow, and was one of the key villains in the Batman: Arkham Origins video games.
The Justice League film is set to hit theatres November 2017, while the Batman solo film doesn’t have a date yet.
